How to Get a Head Without Hunting
Mandrill Head Sculpture
A true friend for a person who appreciates color and wildness!

Our mandrill head sculpture’s bright velvet nose seems to glow in high contrast to his blue fabric cheeks. Our artist Merikay paints his deep orange eyes, that shine in the right lighting. She also builds the handmade, light-weight sculpture base that includes a hook on the back for easy wall hanging.

An earlier version of this colorful creature won an award at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, California.

About Mandrills
Mandrills live in the rain forests of Africa. They are the largest kind of monkey, and by far the most colorful. They are omnivorous, and forage for their food by day. The males are much larger and more colorful than the females, and their color increases as they get excited.

Which means that our mandrill must be an excited male because he’s so colorful.
