animalhead.com How to Get a Head Without Hunting
Our handmade large moose head sculpture is built upon a sturdy base, covered with man-made fur that closely approximates the pelt of a real moose. Our artist Merikay also makes the sculpted antlers and the soft friendly eyes. The moose is ready to hang in your home or office.
About Moose
Moose (called “Elk” in Europe) live in North America, Europe, and Asia. They are the largest animals in the Deer family, standing 67-90 inches (170-230 cm) at the shoulder and weighing 900-1800 pounds (400-800 Kg). They inhabit cold, wet regions, foraging in swamps when such wetlands aren’t frozen. Moose in popular American culture include Bullwinkle, a TV cartoon character associated with Rocky the Flying Squirrel, and the moose featured in the introduction of Northern Exposure, a TV series set in small-town Alaska.
