A showstopper at the trade show!
Our large gray zebu head sculpture was created
for a biomedical corporation in honor of one of their projects.
Our artist Merikay uses a soft fuzzy felt for his hide, carefully mounted over a handcrafted
light weight sculpture. She also makes his horns, eyes, and nose.
Do you have a project, company or team that has an animal for a mascot? Let’s
talk.

About Zebus
Zebus originated in India and were brought to the Americas
in the 19th century. They are smaller than Western domestic cattle and have a single hump.
US zebu ranchers tend to favor miniature varieties.
Some zebus are brown like my small brown
zebu head sculpture. I use a nubby brown fabric for his hide.
Just the thing for your favorite zebu aficionado, especially if that person
is you!
You can order either size in any color that real zebus come in! Send a photo of your favorite
zebu, and Merikay will do her best to recreate it.

Years ago, a friend had a business called the
Zebu Corporation. Forget exactly what the business was, but it probably
involved high tech marketing.
He knew that Merikay made animal heads, and he commissioned
one of the few full-bodied animal creations she has ever made.
He took it to a trade show, and created a nice corral for it in his
booth, complete with fences and hay.
This kind of zebu is not available for order, but we include this image in
memory of that bit of fun. In the picture at right, the rectangle on the
floor isn’t a starting line, but a yardstick to give you an idea of
the scale. |
